Location, staff were amazing especially the cleaning staff. Overall they were very helpful throughout our stay including helping us when are 6 yr old was unwell. Special mention to Samantha and Suresh from cleaning staff.

Food quality and variety wasn’t really good, especially for vegetarians. Food certainly needs improvement. Very importantly we realised that the going tariff was usd 180 plus taxes per night room for triple sharing while booking.com ripped us by charging usd 408. Didn’t realise earlier that booking.com was so unfair.

Great location and the beach is fantastic! Nice large pool area with swim up bar

Hotel is very dated and needs refreshing, looking quite tired in places. Outside the hotel you are harassed constantly by taxi drivers at the front and we had several bad experiences. Bentota town is very busy and people follow you around. The beach side is much nicer and quieter

We like the family room on the ground floor and the size of the pool.

Some things to improve - service at breakfast could include waiters walking around with water to refill glasses and black coffee. Line for coffee is ridiculous and especially for people who just want a regular cup.

Lovely property with a stunning beach!

Location was amazing, right next to one of the cleanest beaches I have ever been to! Breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the freshly made Hoppers! Staff was very friendly. Nice big rooms, very spacious and comfy! Pool bar was excellent

We booked an ocean view room, but the view was blocked by trees. Still nice but should not be advertised as an ocean view. Could have better after dinner activities

Relaxing Stay

We had a great stay here, the beach was easy to access. The pool facilities also easy to access. All facilities were clean and neat. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. On arrival the most beautiful lamp lighting ceremony was held with the reception staff, we all felt very special. The arrival on the jetty, you transported on a boat to the hotel reception. This also adds to the excitement of the stay! The rooms were very comfortable, The breakfast selections were vast! Really good overall.

Certain parts of the hotel is a bit dated. I am sure this is common, maybe a revamp of certain areas should be considered.

Place was cosy, staff are all friendly, other that what i mentioned above i have nothing,

staff were all friendly

i didnt like the fact that i had to try to call more than once before my call would be answered. and another note is the way they wash the glasses in my room, he cleaned them in front of me using his hands, this wasnt acceptable for me and i didnt drink any coffee in room afterwards.

Overall it was a enthralling experience, I was literally below my mind.

I liked the location and superb view from the window. This resort has the advantage of its location where you can see and enjoy the river on one side and the sea on the other. There are some activities even in this pandemic time you can do, like water sports, gym and swimming.

I enjoyed the water sports as they have full clean water Bentota river in front of the resort. There is also a huge swimming pool where you can go any time and jump in. There is a BAR and restaurant where you can order food

One of the bast choices to spend your quarantine

We used this hotel just as place to spend our 14-days quarantine before we can continue our travel in Sri Lanka, so we're not expected some special things here and we had what we wanted. Good point - there was beach and also pools. Staff was quite polite and friendly. Internet was also very good - we needed to work during our staying and haven't had almost any problems with it, even on the beach.

We tried to find most cheap place to spend our 14-days quarantine, and this hotel was one of cheapest, but still overpriced. Also a lot of Russian-speaking tourists which starting drink from early morning and act quite loudly almost all day. There is no wide choice of food even in 'ala-carte' restaurant, we were tried all dishes almost twice till the end of our staying and were little bit frustrated with same food day to day - and you will pay for it twice then outside of the hotel. Also before arriving there we payed for 3 PCR tests for us - just as it is required by government, but had only two of them, we asked about this several times on reception but with no luck, they just gave us certificates that we passed all what we need :)

Staff were great and could not do enough for you. Great garden and swimming pool.

The food was generally average. For the people that like curry for Breakfast and Dinner it will be great. For myself, I would have preferred some more European style dishes. Breakfasts did have the usual bacon and eggs but the offerings to go with them were sometimes strange, Brussel Sprouts or Carrots and Peas instead of tomatoes or mushrooms, but then possibly I am too old to accept these subtle choices.

Enjoyed our stay at Centara

We enjoyed our stay at Centara Ceysands. The staff are lovely. Beds extremely comfortable and clean. Bedrooms were not as good in real life as they looked in the photos. Just a little shabby in some places, bit knocked. But clean, hygienic and big. Nothing to put us off. Only downside was we asked for a view over the ocean but it was blocked by a big tree! Rubber plant I think! Shame as practically every other front facing room would have seen the sea. We only stayed 3 nights ,if we stayed longer I would have asked to move. Overall, it was lovely place, nice facilities, good gardens and sunbeds, pool brilliant, good choice and selection of food, great staff. Nothing to pick fault at. I would stay there again. Ps, we loved the boat ride over the lagoon to get to the hotel!

Fabulous week in Sri Lanka !

We fully enjoyed the pool bar and pool area. The area has lots to over and so much to do it was great. Thanks to the pool bar staff. 360 restaurant was lovely.

On an evening the entertainment was great it was just very quiet evening however this cannot be helped.
